Delighted to say that one of my Travel images, from the Havana, Cuba, set, has, after the first two rounds of judging, been shortlisted for the Final Round of the Siena International Photo Awards 2017. The image cannot, however, be publicised until after the judging has been completed.
Particularly pleasing given that, in 2016, nearly 50,000 entries were received from 130 countries worldwide.
PS The final judging has taken place - I was unsuccessful - however the image can now be shown:
Nice to have one of my photos used for the 2017 Surrey Life Calendar - the December's one.
The images are being exhibited at the Gallery, Denbies Vineyard, Dorking from Monday 23rd to Sunday 4th February 2017
Here's the December image:
Delighted to be one of 20 winners who have been selected for a three month exhibition in London. Up against some strong competition, with over 1,000 entries from 36 countries being received.
The exhibition is held at the Bridge Lounge, London Bridge.
These images were selected by the Bank of England, in conjunction with The Royal Photographic Society, to feature in a year-long exhibition running through 2016. The project, entitled 'Capturing the City' entailed capturing current-day images of the City, based on old photographs from the Bank's Archives.
